Burnout isn’t weakness. Our own page for caregivers calls it a predictable response to a demanding situation without enough support. It often builds slowly: exhaustion that doesn’t go away, a life that keeps getting smaller, and guilt about feeling any of it.
Taking care of yourself isn’t time away from your child. It’s how you stay there for the long run.
This week, name one thing that would give you an hour back, and ask someone for it.
If it’s more than tired, if it feels heavy every day, talk to a doctor or someone you trust. If you ever think about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number now.
